The Broward Bonuses Initiative provides stipends/bonuses to educators/directors.

The Whole Child Series - (6 hours of in-service) - $300

Choose any combo of the belowtrainings:

• Benefits of Raising a Bilingual Child (2 hours) - Prior registration required
• Supporting Language Learners in Your Classroom (offered in English and Spanish) (2 hours) - Prior registration required
• Implementing Positive Guidance and Responding to Challenging Behaviors in an Infants, Toddlers & Twos (offered in English and Spanish) (1 hour)- Prior registration required
• Displaying and Caring for Children's Work (1 hour)- Prior registration required
• Supporting Children's Play (1 hour)- Prior registration required
• Leveraging a Planned - Language Approach to Support Multilingual Preschool Children (1 hour)- Prior registration required
• Responding to Challenging Behaviors Using a Relationship Centered Response (1 hour)- Prior registration required
• Strategies for Engaging in Self – Care (1 hour)- Prior registration required
• Sound Beginnings (4 hours)
• Safe Sleep Practices in Child Care (SSSR) 2 hours (Access DCF training website)

Ready for School Readiness Five Trainings - $500

Complete all 5 School Readiness Preservice Trainings:

1. Child Development in the School Readiness Program (DEVSR)
2. Health and Nutrition in the School Readiness Program (HNSR)
3. Safe Sleep Practices in Child Care (SSSR)
4. Safety Practices in the School Readiness Program (SAFESR)
5. Transportation Safety in Child Care Programs (TRSSR)

Requirements

• Submit a copy of your DCF transcript showing your name
• All 5 School Readiness Preservice Training courses must be COMPLETE.
• Apply in the stipend module for “Ready for School Readiness Five Trainings”
• Submit by June 15, 2024
• Non SR staff can participate for the stipend

DO NOT SUBMIT 5 INDIVIDUAL CERTIFICATES – ONLY DCF TRANSCRIPTS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Best Practices Series (12 hours of in-service) $600

• Dr. H’s - ACEs, Trauma, and Toxic Stress: The impact of Toxic Stress on Young Children’s Development (3 hours)- Prior registration required
• Dr. H’s -Attachment Trauma, and Brain Development in the Early Years (3 hours)- Prior registration required
• Dr. H’s -Young Children Exposed to Trauma: Teaching Classroom Strategies to Support and Heal (3 hours)- Prior registration required
• Dr. H’s -Helping Parents Understand their Children’s Diagnosis (3 hours)- Prior registration required
• Children’s Forum: High Quality Out of School Time (3 hours)- Prior registration required
• Children’s Forum: Self-Care from A-Z (3 hours) - Prior registration required
• ELC Staff - The Why Behind Behaviors and Strategies that Make the Difference (3 hours)- Closed
• DCF - Child Development in the School Readiness Program (DEVSR) 4 hours (Access DCF training website)
• DCF - Transportation Safety in Child Care Programs 2 hours (Access DCF training website)

VPK FAST Stipend $150

• The annual training can be found in the Renaissance-U (Ren-U).
• The training title course is an VPK FAST Star Early Literacy Test Administrators
• Complete this annual training by June 15, 2024to receive a $150 stipend

Introductory 45 Hour Child Care Training $500

• Completion of the DCF - 45 Hour Introductory Training in FULL
• Completion date after July 1, 2023 - include Competency Exams
• Must submit DCF Transcript with payment documents.
• Submit by July 10th, last day of Broward testing is Saturday, June 29th

Health & Safety courses $250

• Required for School Readiness programs by June 30, 2024
• Complete by June 15, 2024 to receive a stipend in Broward
• Course is free/No Charge/Self-Paced/Fully Online
• Non SR staff can participate for the stipend
